What's New at Anderson Community

KIND WORDS FROM OUR MOST IMPORTANT PEOPLE

We were honored to receive two comments from recent patients and we wanted to share. Thank you, Gareth and Robert. We are so glad you were comfortable and cared for.

"The staff at Anderson House has been great. Especially the ladies in physical and occupational therapy. They are outstanding. I have recovered rapidly from my knee replacement surgery because of their excellent care. I will highly recommend Anderson House to anyone who needs rehab." -- Gareth Jeffers

“My stay at Anderson House as been very pleasant (that is, if I was not sick). The staff worked hard to help me be comfortable and I was. The facility was clean and comfortable.” — Robert G. Brown

DONNA EGGEN'S QUILTS AT ANDERSON HOUSE

If the smiles of residents and staff are any indication, Donna Eggen's quilts will warm many hearts this winter while they are on display at Anderson House. Check the entry hall, the main lobby and the Activity Room for her gorgeous award-winning designs.

Donna taught herself to quilt about 30 years ago and she has been experimenting with various patterns ever since. One of her most remarkable quilts is entitled "Missions" and depicts her many trips around the world with Rotary Club members. It's on the right as you enter the building.

You can visit Donna's quilts any time through March 31st.

REMEMBER, IT'S COOOOLD OUT THERE

Temperatures are dipping and our residents can always use another layer or two to stay comfortable. We encourage families to bring in extra sweaters, blankets, or throws to help fight off the cold. Electric blankets are terrific, but please..no space heaters. If you have any questions, call Allison at Anderson House (206) 364-9336.

ANDERSON FORMS A NEW PARTNERSHIP

The Anderson Family has formed an alliance with Sante' Operations from Salem, Oregon to manage Anderson House starting in early 2014. Ownership will be maintained by the Anderson Family, currently celebrating their 50th anniversary of serving Shoreline Families.

"Sante has particular expertise in operating short term/transitional rehabilitation facilities where they have developed exciting and innovative programs," said owner Andy Anderson.

There should be no measurable change in the day-to-day operations of the campus and Allison Anderson will continue as Executive Director of Anderson Plaza and Sheryl Morris will remain Executive Director of Anderson House Skilled Nursing Facility.

Sante' currently operates the Encore Community Campus in Silverdale, WA. The Encore Campus consists of Northwoods Lodge Rehabilitation Center, Clearbrook Inn Assisted Living, and Country Meadows independent cottages.

You can learn more about Sante' and the Encore Communities at their websites.
